What does HBOT mean?
HBOT stands for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
In simple words, it means breathing oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. The pressure inside the chamber is higher than normal air pressure, and that changes the way oxygen moves through the body.
This is what makes HBOT different from simply breathing oxygen through a mask. In a hyperbaric chamber, oxygen can dissolve more deeply into the blood plasma and circulate through the body in a different way.
That is why HBOT is often discussed in connection with recovery, energy, performance and longevity.
What happens inside a hyperbaric chamber?
A session is usually quiet and simple.
You lie or sit inside the hyperbaric chamber. The pressure slowly increases. You breathe oxygen during the session, depending on the chamber type and setup. Then you stay there for a set amount of time while the body is in a pressurized oxygen environment.
Many people use this time to rest, breathe, listen to music or simply disconnect for a while.
For some users, that pause is part of the value. HBOT is not only about oxygen. It is also a structured recovery moment in a busy routine.

Why do people use HBOT?
HBOT has a long history in medical settings, where it is used under professional supervision for specific clinical purposes.
Today, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is also used in wellness, recovery and performance spaces. People are interested in HBOT because oxygen plays a key role in energy, cellular function and natural recovery.
In wellness settings, HBOT is often used as part of routines for:
- post-training recovery;
- physical resilience;
- general wellness;
- relaxation;
- healthy aging;
- longevity protocols;
- recovery rooms in clinics, gyms, hotels and spas.
HBOT is not a quick fix. It usually makes the most sense when it is part of a wider routine that includes sleep, movement, nutrition and recovery support.

Is HBOT only for athletes?
No. Athletes often use HBOT because recovery affects performance, but they are not the only people interested in it.
A hyperbaric chamber may also be useful for:
- private home recovery spaces;
- wellness clinics;
- longevity centers;
- gyms and fitness clubs;
- hotels and spas;
- sports and performance facilities.
Recovery is no longer only a sports topic. Many people are looking for ways to feel better, recover faster from stress and support long-term wellbeing.
What HBOT is not
HBOT is not a magic cure.
It is not a replacement for medical care.
It should not be used without understanding the device, the protocol and the safety guidelines.
People with medical conditions, respiratory issues, ear or sinus problems, recent surgery, pregnancy or implanted devices should speak with a qualified healthcare professional before using a hyperbaric chamber.

How to choose a hyperbaric chamber
The right hyperbaric chamber depends on the person, the space and the goal.
A soft hyperbaric chamber may work well for a private home recovery setup. A hard-shell or multi-person hyperbaric chamber may be better for clinics, gyms, hotels or high-volume wellness centers.
Before choosing a chamber, consider:
- who will use it;
- how often it will be used;
- how much space is available;
- what pressure range is needed;
- who will operate it;
- what level of support and training is required.
At ProReset, we help individuals and professionals choose the right hyperbaric chamber and plan the full setup, from equipment selection to delivery, installation, training and after-sales support.
